The Honorable Ed Ramsey

Judge Ramsey began his service as a civil circuit judge for Jefferson County in January of 1995.  He attended Emory University and the University of Alabama (B.A. - 1965; J.D. - 1966) and was in the private practice of law with his father (1966).  Judge Ramsey served as a Deputy District Attorney (1970 - 1972) in California, thereafter maintaining a private law practice in Birmingham (1972 - 1995).  Judge Ramsey is active in the Alabama State Bar, the Birmingham Bar Association, the St. Andrew's Society, and the Birmingham Inns of Court.
