The Honorable J. Gary Pate

Judge Pate, a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham (1973) and the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University (1976), has been a domestic relations judge since June of 1992.  Prior to serving as a judge, he was a clerk for the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, a Partner in Najjar Denaburg, and a Partner with Boyd, Pate & Fernambucq.  Judge Pate is active in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the Alabama State Bar, the Birmingham Bar Association, the State Bar Family Law Section, and teaches domestic relations at the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
